Class will be writing imitation poems of "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening" and "The Tyger" soon, so students should be thinking about their writing topics with those two formats to mimic.
Save all poems and rubrics when they are returned for inclusion in the Poetry Portfolio, due at the end of the unit. Revision on main problems are expected.

5. Read "The Raven" and do the raven section of the reading guide together. (Since reading guide was done as a class, check them for completion & use as participation grade of 5-10 pts. All short answers should be ok-check more carefully the longer written responses.)
6. Students individually work on narrative poem assignment. If not finished in class, add to homework for the night.

3. Hand out Ballad assignment. Read through Annabel Lee's meter together and make sure students understand it & how to create anapest and iambic feet.
4. Allow time to work on ballad completion or on poetry project. Both are due tomorrow.
